Lynn Jackson, COO of Northside Hospital Forsyth, Speaks on Personalized Medicine at Digital Ignition

Fostering Healthcare Innovation in Forsyth County

Lynn Jackson, Chief Operating Officer of Northside Hospital Forsyth, highlighted patient-centric advancements that are helping to strengthen the healthcare experience during her presentation on March 12th. The event was hosted at Digital Ignition - Forward Forsyth’s official Blockchain, IoT, and AI business incubator. Ms. Jackson shared her vision for the future and expressed confidence in her staff and community as she manages Northside Hospital Forsyth’s $44 million dollar expansion in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.

While the true impact of a COVID-19 outbreak in our community cannot be predicted, Northside Hospital-Forsyth is meeting regularly on this issue and they already have a medical triage program in place to respond to regional needs.  It is this quick action and personalized approach to any medical situation that has helped distinguish Northside-Forsyth as one of the top-ranked and fastest growing hospitals in the U.S.    When Ms. Jackson came to Northside Hospital - Forsyth in 1999, it was a small neighborhood hospital in a state of undeclared bankruptcy. The 304-bed hospital has seen triple digit growth over the past 10 years and now has more than 2,500 physicians and 3,000 employees.  Their plans for the $44M expansion will include adding an additional two stories and 43 medical surgical short-stay care beds at the hospital.  The expansion will bring the hospital, already the tallest building in the county, to 10 stories.

Whether managing a $44 million dollar expansion, fostering medical innovations, or providing COVID-19 preventative care, Lynn Jackson is creating a future-focused culture that is centered around growth, technology and patient care. “Our goal at Northside Hospital Forsyth is to create an environment that doesn’t look like or feel like an institution, but is a place of healing,” continued Ms. Jackson. “As we embark into the 21st century, I cherish the idea that patient lives have been saved, careers have been made, and dreams realized.”

“Ms. Jackson’s understanding of the power of innovation is what makes her an inspiration to the members of Digital Ignition who are continuously finding ways to improve our everyday lives through the practical use of technology," said Joanne Sanders, President of EWISE Communications and General Manager of Digital Ignition. "As a member of the national U.S. Chamber COVID-19 Task force, it is nice to know that innovation is helping to drive local medical readiness that is critical to our community,” she added.
